That may kick up the price buy a good bit though. But you can always buy a bluetooth dongle and reciever to make it completely wireless. Yes, at least a long usb cable to the controller box. Really not hard if you have a little bit handy.

So you just need to build a small box, figure out your button layout, cut the holes for the buttons, install and hook up the buttons to the USB control board (good instructions included), then just install one of the programs mentioned above (joy2key or Autohotkey) to set the buttons to a key press on the keyboard. The pack comes with the USB control board. That is for a 2 player controller system, but has lots of buttons included just in case you want lot of buttons on the control board. I created custom labels for each buttons using "Avery 2" Round Labels, Sure Feed, Full Bleed Edge, Customizable Labels" and placed them inside each arcade button. I marked where each button hole was on the bottom of the fake grass and cut X's in the grass so I would be able to fit the buttons through. I bought some fake grass and cut it to the size of the box. (I considered using an arcade controller usb encoder, but i wanted the controller to be plug and play). I took an old usb keyboard and soldered wires to each required button on the keyboard and used female spade terminals to connect the wires to the arcade switches.
I played around with the layout a bit, but eventually I measured and cut holes for the arcade buttons. To build it I first made a simple box out of plywood. I'm happy to say it works perfectly and I have been using it to control the whole game. It uses 60mm led arcade buttons with custom labels so you can easily hit the buttons with your foot or club.
